Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support the company's data-driven initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Engineer will orchestrate, deploy, and maintain cloud or on-premise infrastructure for big data management, focusing on reliability, automation, and performance in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain infrastructure systems, including data warehouses and data lakes, while preparing and manipulating data using various technologies
• Analyze data and provide actionable insights through quantitative analyses and ongoing reporting, while managing quality control procedures for data sets
• Create data collection frameworks for both structured and unstructured data, applying best practices for data auditing, scalability, and application performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 5 years of experience in database design, developing modeling tools, and ETL/ELT script development
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Python, as well as modern cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Azure Data Factory
• Expert understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and database design across various environments
• Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps/DataOps practices
