Senior Data Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare organization, the hybrid Senior Data Engineer will lead new data initiatives, manage Databricks functionality, and design scalable infrastructure while collaborating with various internal departments and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new data initiatives by partnering with operations, sales, clinical, billing/finance, and IT teams on data source development and automated data pipelines
• Oversee Databricks ETL/ELT development and administration, optimizing change data capture with Azure SQL data warehouse
• Organize and standardize datasets while supporting integrations with new systems into the enterprise data warehouse

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Engineering/Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
• Proficiency in Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and strong background in Azure data services and enterprise data modeling
• Experience working with healthcare data, particularly EMR and practice management systems, is preferred
• Ability to assess and integrate new data sources and design high-performance systems
• Proven collaboration skills across technical and business teams to align on data-driven strategies
