Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake
Job Summary
Working remotely during PST hours, the full-time Senior Data Engineer - Snowflake will design and implement scalable data models and pipelines, develop complex dbt models, and collaborate with business leaders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data models and pipelines that align with business objectives
- Develop complex dbt models using advanced capabilities including macros and custom materializations
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Snowflake queries and dbt models
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline
- 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering and modern data platforms
- Highly skilled in SQL, including Common Table Expressions (CTEs) and complex joins
- Strong understanding of data engineering, data quality, ETL/ELT, and performance optimization
- Some hands-on experience with Python; intermediate or higher proficiency is preferred
