Senior Data Engineering Director

Job Summary

To support the development of a robust analytics platform, the full-time salaried Senior Data Engineering Director will lead the engineering and operations of data systems, manage metric governance, and mentor a growing analytics team in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structured discovery with executives to translate business questions into a prioritized roadmap for data deliverables
• Own and operate the Microsoft Fabric Analytical Platform while driving automation and establishing best practices for data management
• Lead, mentor, and grow the data and analytics team while ensuring adherence to security, privacy, and compliance standards

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, software engineering, or data architecture, with 5+ years in technical leadership or management
• Proven experience as a founding or senior data leader with a comprehensive understanding of the full data stack
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or equivalent platforms, alongside AWS application infrastructure
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language such as Python or Java, with expertise in data modeling and analytical architecture
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
