Job Summary
Leading a team of data engineers, the full-time Senior Data Engineering Manager will be responsible for making data usable across product teams and AI agents, setting architectural standards, and ensuring reliable data pipelines in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow the data engineering team, setting clear expectations and career paths
- Set the roadmap for data architecture and deliver cross-team projects on time and on budget
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate data platform tools while ensuring cost efficiency
Required qualifications
- 10+ years in software or data engineering, with at least 5 years in a management role
- Proven experience in designing enterprise data architecture and leading architecture reviews
- Hands-on experience with modern data warehouses and transformation frameworks, including SQL and Python
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multi-team data platform projects and build consensus with non-engineering partners
- Experience in preparing governed data for AI consumers and evaluating vendor contracts
