Senior Data Governance Architect
Job Summary
Leading the delivery of a data governance technology program, the full-time remote Senior Lead Data Governance Architect will implement governance catalog strategies, manage technical assessments, and oversee observability tooling while mentoring a team of Senior Data Governance Architects.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full implementation of the enterprise governance catalog, ensuring consistency and scalability across various platforms
- Define implementation patterns for governance tooling and serve as the main technical escalation point for team members
- Own the rollout of observability tooling, including designing data quality rule frameworks and configuring alerts
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or governance tooling implementation, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role
- Hands-on implementation experience with Informatica CDGC or a comparable enterprise catalog
- Experience implementing Databricks Unity Catalog, including catalog hierarchies and role-based access control
- Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in building automated workflows and data transformation scripts
