Senior Data Governance Manager

Job Summary

As a full-time Senior Data Governance Manager, the successful candidate will drive governance program operations, execute policy and compliance standards, and lead business glossary and metadata management in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Data Domain Model, facilitating the Data Governance Council and tracking program adoption metrics
• Support the development and roll-out of enterprise data policies, monitor compliance, and coordinate remediation efforts
• Oversee the operations of the Business Glossary, facilitating definition workshops and partnering with the data catalog team

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or analytics with a proven track record in governance programs
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK)
• Working knowledge of modern data stack platforms (e.g., Snowflake, dbt)
• Hands-on experience with data catalog/metadata management tools (e.g., DataHub, Alation)
• Proficiency in SQL for governance reporting and data quality analysis
