Senior Data Management Specialist
Job Summary
To support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the fully remote Senior Data Management and Analytics Specialist will provide senior data management and analytic support for foundational data, ensuring data assets are well-managed and analytically ready while collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide senior data management and analytic support for foundational data and CDC Data Hub assets
- Assess data quality, completeness, and analytical readiness, advising CDC users on data use and interpretation
- Develop and maintain reusable code, technical documentation, and data management documentation for shared CDC use cases
Required qualifications:
- Master's degree in Epidemiology or a closely related field
- 5+ years of experience in data management, public health analytics, or related fields
- Experience with cloud-based data and analytics platforms such as 1CDP/Palantir Foundry or Databricks
- Proficiency in analytical tools like Python, SQL, R, or SAS
- Knowledge of data stewardship, governance, and reproducible analytical practices
