Senior Data Migration Engineer
Job Summary
Leading complex data migration initiatives, the full-time Senior Data Migration Engineer will ensure the accurate and secure transfer of data between enterprise systems while designing repeatable migration processes and supporting production transitions in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute large-scale data migrations, including data profiling, mapping, transformation, and reconciliation
- Design and build auditable migration pipelines with validation reporting and rollback capabilities
- Document data lineage and migration methodologies to support audit requirements and operational handoff
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering with participation in at least two production data migrations
- Advanced SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and at least one commercial relational database
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools or Python scripting for data transformation and validation
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Department of War security clearance
- Experience working with AWS GovCloud or comparable migration tools is preferred
