Senior Data Migration Lead

Job Summary

To guide and execute the technical separation, archiving, and migration of critical R&D applications, the remote contract Senior Data Migration & Purging Lead will manage data discovery initiatives, translate business policies into technical rules, and oversee end-to-end migration execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data discovery and profiling initiatives to identify migration, archival, and purging requirements
• Translate complex business purge and retention policies into executable technical rules, filters, and SQL scripts
• Oversee end-to-end migration execution, including mock cutovers and post-go-live troubleshooting

Required qualifications

• 12-15 years of enterprise experience in data migration, ETL engineering, and database development
• Proven track record leading data workstreams for large-scale application separations or divestitures
• High proficiency in SQL and relational database environments such as SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
• Experience handling complex data models and referential integrity constraints
• Solid experience designing and executing data validation frameworks and reconciliation workflows
