Senior Data Platform Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Senior Data Platform Engineer will build and standardize the data integration platform primarily within the Microsoft Fabric environment, focusing on architecture, API-based data ingestion, and Model Context Protocol server development.
Key responsibilities
- Design and refine medallion-layered architecture in Microsoft Fabric for internal and client environments
- Evaluate and build reference implementations for data ingestion and API integration methods
- Author, publish, and maintain engineering standards to enable other engineers to implement these practices
Required qualifications
- Two or more years of hands-on production experience with Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouse and warehouse design
- Demonstrated API integration experience, including REST and OAuth2
- Experience building and shipping Model Context Protocol servers, focusing on design and error handling
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and Git-based workflows
- A documented record of raising technical standards in collaboration with a team
