Senior Data Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the Google Cloud data infrastructure, the full-time Senior Data Platform Engineer will manage BigQuery datasets, implement CI/CD for data workloads, and ensure patient data protection while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage BigQuery datasets, Datastream, and Cloud Run functions using Terraform for data projects
• Implement CI/CD processes for data workloads, ensuring reliable production through code review
• Protect patient data by applying least-privilege IAM and conducting automated checks for compliance

Required qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise in Google Cloud data infrastructure, including BigQuery and Cloud Run
• Experience managing infrastructure as code and deploying through CI/CD with tools like Terraform
• Proven ownership of a production data platform, including ingestion and monitoring
• Knowledge of data protection controls, such as IAM and column-level security
• Commitment to health equity and understanding of how data reliability impacts low-income populations
