Senior Data Scientist
Job Summary
Leading the vision and delivery of data-driven models, the full-time remote Senior Data Scientist will optimize the delivery experience for consumers and delivery partners through dispatch optimization, delivery routing, and demand forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build algorithmic delivery fee strategies to enhance customer experience and profitability
- Develop optimization and machine learning approaches for order batching, assignment, and routing to reduce delivery costs
- Build accurate demand forecasts to inform driver supply planning and pricing decisions
Required Qualifications
- MS or PhD in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience or 8+ years in data science
- Strong background in pricing/revenue optimization, mathematical optimization, time-series forecasting, and experimentation
- Hands-on experience designing experiments in operational marketplaces
- Proven ability to translate business problems into technical objectives with measurable results
- Expertise in machine learning, statistics, and proficiency in Python and SQL
