Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

To support the BEES Applied Science team, the remote Senior Data Scientist will develop advanced machine learning solutions for portfolio optimization, recommendations, and insights discovery while mentoring junior data scientists and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate on designing complex analyses and deploying advanced machine learning algorithms aligned with business objectives
• Stimulate the adoption of cutting-edge machine learning techniques to drive innovation across team initiatives
• Architect and optimize large-scale data processing workflows on cloud platforms, ensuring performance and scalability

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field; Master's preferred; PhD a plus
• Demonstrated success applying machine learning and statistical modeling techniques in production environments
• Experience with experimentation frameworks, model validation, and rigorous evaluation in high-stakes decision systems
• Proficiency in Python for analysis, modeling, and production workflows; experience with Spark/PySpark is a plus
• Strong proficiency using AI coding agents and developer tools to accelerate development while maintaining quality
