Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

To enhance the reliability of Oura's hardware products, the full-time remote Senior Data Scientist will build and evolve quality models, develop diagnostic systems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and improve product performance.

Key responsibilities

• Build and evolve reliability and quality models for Oura Ring products, including warranty forecasts and failure-mode predictions
• Develop diagnostics and root-cause analysis systems connecting various data sources to inform product quality improvements
• Partner with multiple teams to identify reliability risks and translate them into measurable analytical problems

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or reliability engineering
• Demonstrated experience with statistical modeling and machine learning applied to hardware or related domains
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for building analytical models and measurement systems
• Experience with reliability methods such as survival analysis and warranty forecasting
• Ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to diverse stakeholders effectively
