Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

As a key member of the data science team, the full-time Senior Data Scientist will develop and deploy homeowners insurance pricing and risk models, focusing on GLM-based pricing, machine learning applications, and collaboration with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to modeling standards and best practices for insurance pricing and risk modeling
• Build, validate, and deploy GLM-based models and machine learning models to enhance underwriting accuracy and profitability
• Partner with actuarial and engineering teams to integrate data science solutions into operational workflows

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data science, particularly in insurance pricing or risk modeling
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects end-to-end and mentoring junior data scientists
• Demonstrated experience with GLM-based pricing models and machine learning techniques
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in implementing GLMs and gradient boosting models
• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field preferred
