Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

To support a growing infrastructure team, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will manage the reliability and performance of production ClickHouse clusters, design scalable architecture, and oversee the entire cluster lifecycle in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the reliability and performance of production ClickHouse clusters, including self-hosted and managed services
• Design architecture and tooling for scalable multi-node clusters while managing the cluster lifecycle as code
• Build monitoring and alerting systems, ensuring database security and handling routine database requests efficiently

Required Qualifications:

• Deep DBA-level knowledge of ClickHouse, including data storage, merging, replication, and query optimization
• Experience running and maintaining stateful workloads on Kubernetes in production environments
• Proficiency in database security practices, including encryption, access control, and secrets management
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and automation using infrastructure as code tools
• Strong troubleshooting skills across the entire stack, from queries to Kubernetes and networking
