Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator for a full-time remote position, responsible for installing, configuring, and upgrading database management systems, as well as optimizing database performance and ensuring data integrity through effective backup and recovery strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS) while managing database objects and performance tuning
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability
- Collaborate with IT staff to resolve database issues and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations and processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in database administration, specifically with Oracle and SQL Server
- Proven expertise in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database architecture and management
