Job Summary
Managing database systems remotely, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will install, configure, and optimize database management systems while ensuring data security and performance integrity.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS) while monitoring and maintaining database performance
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity and availability
- Collaborate with IT staff to resolve database problems and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations and processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in database administration, specifically with Oracle and SQL Server
- Proven expertise in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management
- Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server database architecture, management, and optimization
