Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Database Administrator will install, configure, and upgrade database management systems while managing database performance, security, and backup strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade database management systems (DBMS) and manage database objects
- Monitor and optimize database performance, including tuning and implementing backup and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with IT staff to resolve database issues and maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations and procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
- 8+ years of professional experience in database administration, preferably with Oracle and SQL Server
- Proven expertise in database design, performance tuning, backup, and recovery
- Experience with database monitoring and maintenance tools
