Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support a growing data team, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will maintain and improve existing database systems, assist in the design and development of new systems, and ensure optimal performance through complex SQL management, all within a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain database objects, including indexes, views, and procedures in both on-premise and cloud databases
- Drive innovation by recommending database approaches and collaborating with architecture and application teams
- Lead the investigation and resolution of database incidents, ensuring timely response to alerts and escalations
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in database analysis, programming, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years as a Senior Database Developer or equivalent
- Extensive hands-on experience with SQL 2016 and higher, including complex database procedures and functions
- Experience with cloud-based database systems in Azure and managing large databases (2+ TB)
- Proficiency in PowerShell for script automation and operational workflows
