Senior Database Administrator
Job Summary
To support the VA ICAM IOSS project, the remote Senior Database Administrator will manage and maintain database instances for Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Privileged Access Management (PAM), and Master Person Index (MPI) platforms, ensuring high availability through effective backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain database instances supporting IGA, PAM, and MPI platforms
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle database environments
- Execute and oversee database backup, restoration, replication, and disaster recovery procedures
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience in Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration
- Experience with Oracle Database Administration
- Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
