Senior Database Administrator

Job Summary

To ensure the reliability, security, and performance of cloud-based data platforms, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will manage Microsoft SQL Server and Amazon Redshift environments, optimize AWS data warehouse architecture, and oversee database security while collaborating cross-functionally with various teams in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead administration, monitoring, tuning, and optimization of database environments
• Design and maintain high availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Manage database security, user access, and compliance with internal and external standards

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing production database environments
• Deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, including performance tuning and HA/DR
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data warehouse technologies, particularly Amazon Redshift
• Proven experience managing database security and access controls in regulated environments
• Demonstrated AI fluency and experience using automation tools to improve operations
