Job Summary
To support the Infrastructure team, the full-time Senior Database Administrator will design, maintain, and optimize large PostgreSQL databases while ensuring their reliability and performance in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, and maintain large relational databases
- Maintain database integrity and security, including backups and recovery procedures
- Monitor database performance and implement changes, applying new patches and versions as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including setup, replication, and performance tuning
- Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries
- Experience with backup and recovery strategies, including Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR)
- Working knowledge of scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, or Go
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including Kubernetes and Terraform
