Job Summary
As a full-time Senior Database Administrator, the successful candidate will manage Snowflake and SQL Server databases, optimize performance, and ensure data integrity while working remotely within Pennsylvania.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as primary DBA for Snowflake and SQL Server, extending support to critical business systems as needed
- Monitor database performance, optimize queries, and manage user access and security policies
- Establish backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures while overseeing data loading processes
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years as a Database Administrator with 3+ years of hands-on experience in Snowflake and SQL Server
- Expert knowledge of Snowflake architecture and SQL Server administration, including Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Strong SQL and T-SQL skills with experience in query optimization
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and data warehouse design patterns
- Experience with backup/recovery and disaster recovery planning
