Senior Database Engineer
Job Summary
Driving the design and optimization of database systems, the full-time Senior Database Engineer will develop advanced database solutions for high-transaction applications while collaborating with engineering and DevOps teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop state-of-the-art database solutions to meet performance, scalability, and integrity needs
- Design database schemas based on data modeling and business requirements
- Troubleshoot performance issues and propose both short-term fixes and long-term solutions
Required qualifications:
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience, or M.S. with 3+ years of experience
- 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server development experience
- Expert knowledge of SQL Server, including triggers, stored procedures, and user-defined functions
- Experience operating SQL Server in AWS environments
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and optimizing data access from microservices
