Job Summary
To support a leading technology organization, the full-time Senior Database Engineer will design, optimize, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL environments in production while driving automation and scalability initiatives across AWS and Kubernetes-based infrastructure remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL database environments in production
- Troubleshoot database performance, availability, replication, and scalability issues across complex systems
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and create automation scripts with Python
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience designing, administering, and troubleshooting PostgreSQL databases in production environments
- Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and cloud-native technologies
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized workloads
- Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred
