Job Summary
Working remotely in Canada, the full-time Senior Database Reliability Engineer will evaluate and enhance database architectures, address production issues, and implement cloud technologies to ensure optimal platform performance.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate current database architectures and recommend improvements for performance and availability
- Respond to database outages, triaging and remediating issues to support the engineering organization
- Manage database replication and design architecture to support business continuity and resilience
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Database Engineering experience, specifically with Postgres
- 5+ years of experience in AWS or GCP cloud environments
- 3+ years of high-level programming experience in Python or Go
- Strong experience with Kubernetes in production environments
- Experience building infrastructure as code using Terraform
