Job Summary
To support the reliability and performance of mission-critical database platforms, the fully remote Senior Database Reliability Engineer will administer and optimize PostgreSQL infrastructure, automate processes, and ensure the availability and security of production databases on a long-term open-ended contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, administer, maintain, and secure PostgreSQL infrastructure for high availability and performance
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines and data migration procedures for PostgreSQL environments
- Monitor database health and system performance while implementing proactive improvements
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience with PostgreSQL in production environments
- 5+ years of experience supporting production database systems across various layers
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and managed database services, including AWS and Kubernetes
- 3+ years of Linux systems engineering experience, including performance tuning and security
