Job Summary
To support a thriving Engineering team, the remote Senior Database Reliability Engineer will evaluate and improve database architectures, manage database performance and availability, and respond to production issues using cloud technologies and DevOps principles.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate current database architectures and suggest improvements to maintain performance and availability
- Support the engineering organization by responding to database outages and remediating database-related issues
- Manage and maintain replication between databases, ensuring resilience and recovery from faults
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Database Engineering experience, specifically with Postgres
- 5+ years working within an AWS or GCP cloud environment
- 3+ years of high-level programming experience in Python or Go
- Strong database architecture and monitoring experience
- Experience building infrastructure as code using Terraform
