Job Summary
To support a rapidly growing technology organization, the remote Senior Database Reliability Engineer will design, operate, automate, and optimize large-scale PostgreSQL environments while managing distributed data platforms.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and support production PostgreSQL environments across cloud-based infrastructure
- Manage PostgreSQL on Kubernetes and Amazon RDS, including related managed database services
- Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting PostgreSQL in production environments
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL on Kubernetes, Amazon RDS, and AWS services
- 3+ years of Linux systems engineering experience, including performance tuning and security
- Experience automating infrastructure and database operations using Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies
- Strong understanding of PostgreSQL internals, including replication and query optimization
