Senior Databricks Data Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Databricks Data Engineer will implement a digital thread schema in Databricks, transform data from Silver to Gold tables, and ensure data quality while collaborating with engineering stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the v1 program-agnostic digital thread schema in Databricks, mapping traceability relationships across various systems
• Build Silver-to-Gold transformations in Databricks declarative pipelines and publish governed data products
• Document data models, business rules, and lineage for effective handoff and collaboration

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, particularly with Databricks or a comparable lakehouse
• Strong data modeling skills, including experience with relationship-heavy models and entity resolution
• Hands-on experience with data from Teamcenter, Cameo, or Siemens Capital
• Proficiency in PySpark and SQL, with experience in Delta Lake and medallion architecture
• Familiarity with PLM and MBSE concepts, including parts, BOMs, and requirements traceability
