Job Summary
Leading the architecture and engineering of enterprise database infrastructure, the remote contract Senior DB2 Consultant will manage the migration to Db2 13 for z/OS, oversee software lifecycle management, and serve as a subject matter expert on database internals and security implementations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical strategy and execution for migrating to Db2 13 for z/OS
- Manage comprehensive Db2 software lifecycle management, including PTF evaluations and vendor advisory reviews
- Architect software deployment governance models, ensuring strict maintenance and fallback planning during upgrades
Required qualifications
- Extensive experience with Db2 for z/OS, particularly in migration and optimization strategies
- Strong background in software lifecycle management using SMP/E
- Expertise in configuring and tuning DSNZPARM settings across various environments
- Proven ability to implement advanced security measures and vulnerability management
- Experience with Parallel Sysplex and data sharing groups
