Senior Design Engineer
Job Summary
To shape the next generation of a maritime domain awareness platform, the full-time Senior Design Engineer will design and implement complex product surfaces, mentor team members, and drive design quality in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement data-rich product surfaces from initial concept to production
- Identify opportunities for redesigning key features and improving user flows
- Conduct design audits and provide mentorship to elevate team performance
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of design engineering experience, particularly in frontend design
- Expertise in Tailwind CSS and modern CSS fundamentals
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) and performance metrics
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Demonstrated experience in designing and maintaining scalable design systems
