Senior Design Engineer

Job Summary

To drive innovation in optical connectivity solutions, the full-time Senior Design Engineer will design new products, implement cost reductions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams onsite in East Syracuse, NY.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop next-generation optical connectivity solutions for broadband networks, ensuring compliance with market and margin goals
• Lead design, value engineering, and cost-optimization efforts for fiber optic cables and components while maintaining performance standards
• Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and act as the primary engineering contact for Product Management and Quality Assurance

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with five years of design experience in a related field
• Experience with fiber optic cables, connectors, and interconnect products
• Knowledge of high-speed manufacturing equipment and capabilities
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD platforms
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
