Job Summary
To enhance the Design System team, the full-time Senior Design Engineer will research, build, and maintain accessible React components, focusing on developer experience improvements and driving adoption through high-quality documentation and code review.
Key responsibilities
- Research and maintain accessible React components with a focus on headless accessibility and keyboard interaction
- Enhance the component library by improving APIs and enabling complex migrations with codemods and semantic versioning
- Drive adoption through documentation, usage guidelines, and collaboration with product teams on code review and issue triage
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of frontend engineering experience, including building or maintaining a production design system
- Deep knowledge of React, TypeScript, semantic HTML, and CSS architecture at scale
- Working knowledge of WCAG 2.x and WAI-ARIA, with hands-on experience in accessibility testing
- Experience with design-token architecture and tools for managing design tokens
- Background in design system or UI/UX platform teams, particularly in developer tools or B2B SaaS environments
