Senior Designer

Job Summary

Focusing on high-speed optical modulators for next-generation coherent systems, the full-time Senior Designer will manage technical ownership of modulator design, including RF/optical co-design, modeling, and characterization, while collaborating across teams to address system-level constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority for integrated optical modulator PICs aimed at current and future coherent products
• Design or guide related PIC functions, including passive routing and polarization elements
• Refine RF, optical, and electro-optic models using measurement data to ensure design performance and closure

Required qualifications

• Ph.D. in electrical engineering, engineering physics, applied physics, photonics, or a related field
• Five or more years of relevant industry experience in high-speed electro-optic modulators or related PIC technologies
• Expertise in electro-optic modulator physics and RF/optical co-design
• Strong capability with EM/circuit simulation tools such as HFSS and/or ADS
• Ability to build and calibrate compact models from simulation and measurement data
