Senior Detection Engineer

Job Summary

Serving as the blue team voice within the Defensive Agent team, the full-time Senior Detection Engineer will define detection effectiveness and remediation requirements, translating blue team workflows into actionable product outcomes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product to establish buildable requirements for EDR effectiveness and tuning
• Own deep knowledge of major EDR platforms and maintain current detection capabilities and coverage models
• Define acceptance criteria for detection features and validate releases against them prior to customer deployment

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in detection engineering, security operations, incident response, or threat hunting
• Hands-on experience administering and tuning EDR platforms, including writing detections and managing policies
• Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and detection coverage frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to influence product direction as a domain expert
• Proficiency in scripting, ideally Python, and familiarity with SQL for data analysis
