Senior Detection Engineer
Job Summary
Building and improving detection capabilities for Protective Services, the full-time Senior Detection Engineer will develop detections, pipelines, and automation across various security signals to identify threats to protected individuals in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct hands-on detection engineering, translating threat intelligence and investigative needs into custom alerting
- Build, test, deploy, and operate detection-as-code pipelines to ensure reliable detection at scale
- Coordinate with internal and external partners on threats and lead projects to enhance protective capabilities
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in detection engineering, alert development, or related fields
- Direct experience with production detection-as-code pipelines and automation
- Strong investigative judgment and ability to translate threat information into actionable insights
- Proficiency in SQL or SIEM query languages and coding in Python, Go, or similar languages
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
