Senior Developer & Database Engineer
Job Summary
To support a government client's business and IT modernization project, the full-time remote Senior Developer & Database Engineer will design, develop, and optimize software applications and database architectures while collaborating within an agile team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software applications using modern frameworks and languages
- Architect, build, and maintain relational and non-relational databases to ensure application performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align development and database solutions with project requirements
Required qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of overall IT/software development experience, including 5+ years in hands-on application development
- 3+ years of experience in database engineering and architecture, preferably with cloud-based development (Azure preferred)
- Proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks such as React, .NET Core, and Node.js
- Experience with SQL Server and cloud-hosted database platforms like Azure SQL or Azure Cosmos DB
