Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Device Engineer will design, develop, and maintain network device integration software while collaborating with Product Management and engineering teams to support emerging technologies in network security.
Key responsibilities
- Develop device integration solutions for products from various vendors, including Palo Alto and Juniper
- Gather technical requirements and learn the inner workings of security devices to create usable application structures
- Collaborate with the sales engineering team to prioritize development based on customer needs and participate in troubleshooting device-related issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in Java coding with a strong understanding of optimization and object-oriented design
- Expertise in scripting with BASH or Python programming languages
- Experience with Maven, SQL, JUnit, XML/XSLT, RESTful web services, and logback/log4j
- Familiarity with Linux and general command-line operations
