Senior DevOps Security Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on cloud security and infrastructure, the full-time Senior DevOps Security Engineer will build, operate, secure, and automate cloud environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Translate security and compliance requirements into practical technical controls, supporting HIPAA and SOC 2 activities
- Build and maintain secure AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, and CI/CD pipelines while managing vulnerability scanning and incident response
- Automate workflows and develop internal tools, scripts, and integrations to enhance system reliability and security
Required qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in cloud security engineering, DevOps, or related fields
- Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, and vulnerability management
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and securing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing security controls in regulated environments like HIPAA or SOC 2
- Ability to write scripts (Python, Bash) and work with APIs and automation tools
