Senior Director of AI Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a high-impact engineering organization, the full-time remote Senior Director of AI Engineering will drive the vision and delivery of the intelligence layer for AI agents, focusing on semantic architecture, advanced RAG pipelines, and cross-functional collaboration with executive stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Build, scale, and mentor a world-class engineering organization dedicated to AI context and semantic architecture
• Define and execute the technical roadmap for the AI semantic layer, including vector databases and knowledge graphs
• Lead the development of enterprise-grade RAG pipelines to ensure accurate and secure AI reasoning

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on distributed systems or AI infrastructure
• 5+ years of senior engineering leadership experience managing teams of 50+ engineers
• 3+ years of experience in building AI/ML infrastructure or semantic search engines
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Deep understanding of bridging structured enterprise data with unstructured AI models
