Senior Director of Animal Safety R&D

Job Summary

Leading the global R&D strategy for Animal Safety, the full-time Senior Director of Animal Safety R&D will manage the development and execution of innovative product solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global Animal Safety R&D strategy, aligning innovation priorities with business objectives and market opportunities
• Lead the end-to-end R&D portfolio, balancing incremental improvements with transformational innovation
• Establish and oversee effective portfolio governance, prioritizing projects and resources in line with strategic priorities

Required Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Diagnostics, Animal Science, Microbiology, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline; a DVM or PhD is strongly preferred
• Significant senior-level experience leading R&D or product development teams within animal health or veterinary diagnostics
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, animal health markets, and structured product development processes
• Demonstrable experience in managing innovation pipelines and delivering products from concept to commercialization
• Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional, and international teams effectively
