Senior Director of Communications

Job Summary

Leading the corporate communications function, the full-time remote Senior Director of Communications will develop and execute an integrated communications strategy to enhance the company's reputation and effectively communicate its scientific advancements to various audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the integrated corporate communications strategy, advising executive leadership on positioning and external engagement
• Lead proactive media relations efforts, serving as the primary contact for media and managing communications around clinical data and corporate milestones
• Collaborate with internal teams to translate complex scientific information into clear communications, ensuring patient perspectives are authentically represented

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, business, or life sciences; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of progressive communications experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences
• Demonstrated experience leading corporate communications for a biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization
• Strong background in communicating clinical data and scientific developments to external audiences, with established media relationships
• Exceptional writing skills and proven ability to advise senior leaders effectively
