Senior Director of Development

Job Summary

Experienced institutional fundraising professionals will find a full-time salaried opportunity as the Senior Director of Development, responsible for managing and growing a national portfolio of philanthropic funders while working remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of current and prospective institutional funders, ensuring clear strategies and next steps for each relationship
• Lead the development of high-quality fundraising proposals, reports, and stewardship materials in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Maintain accurate portfolio information in Salesforce and support the development of processes that enhance team execution and project management

Required Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in nonprofit development or institutional philanthropy, with significant responsibility for complex national funder portfolios
• Demonstrated track record of managing substantial funding portfolios and developing strategies for new programs or initiatives
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience producing sophisticated proposals and executive-level materials
• Experience supporting senior leaders in relationship management and coordinating cross-functional development efforts
• Proficiency in using Salesforce or similar CRM systems for portfolio management and fundraising data tracking
