Senior Director of Engineering
Job Summary
To lead the development of a transformative AI agent platform, the full-time Senior Director of Engineering will own the technical architecture and roadmap while managing a team of engineers to enhance customer-facing agent capabilities in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Owning the technical architecture and roadmap for the AI agent platform, including orchestration layers and reasoning systems
- Leading and growing a team of engineers to build and operate production agent systems while maintaining hands-on involvement in design and incident response
- Driving the development of new agent capabilities and ensuring system reliability and performance as usage scales
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in engineering leadership roles
- Direct experience building and operating production LLM-powered or agentic systems at scale
- Deep understanding of applied AI architecture and the tradeoffs between latency, cost, and quality
- A proven track record of establishing evaluation systems for non-deterministic software
- Experience leading both "0 to 1" builds and "1 to scale" hardening of systems
