Senior Director of Housing Resilience

Job Summary

Leading the Housing Disaster Resilience and Recovery strategy, the full-time Senior Director of Housing Resilience will manage a team of specialists, oversee program design and implementation, and engage with external stakeholders in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the Housing Disaster Resilience and Recovery team, focusing on performance evaluation and professional development
• Develop and implement the strategic plan for housing resilience in alignment with Habitat's global strategy
• Coordinate with various departments to integrate housing resilience and disaster risk reduction into long-term programs and projects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in urban planning, public policy, civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field; graduate studies in resilience planning or disaster management preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in disaster risk reduction, community resilience, or housing development
• Proven track record of managing complex projects funded by international cooperation entities
• Experience working internationally in at least 2 countries in the Global South
• Strong understanding of resilience frameworks and humanitarian principles
