Senior Director of R&D Governance

Job Summary

Leading R&D governance and portfolio management, the full-time Senior Director of R&D Governance will oversee strategic operational processes, ensure effective decision-making across therapeutic asset progression, and collaborate with various departments to align corporate strategy with R&D initiatives in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and optimize R&D governance committees to facilitate decision-making from early discovery to late-stage development
• Lead the integrated R&D portfolio prioritization process, evaluating pipeline value and resource allocations
• Coach executive teams and maintain governance transparency by documenting decisions and managing meeting logistics

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, particularly in R&D governance and portfolio management
• Thorough knowledge of global drug discovery and clinical development phases
• Proven success in creating and managing senior-level R&D decision-making committees
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred
