Senior Director, Payments SRE

Job Summary

Driving transformational change, the full-time Senior Director, Payments SRE will lead complex initiatives to enhance reliability, observability, and automation within a high-volume payments platform, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Set the vision and strategy for Site Reliability Engineering across reliability, observability, automation, and incident management
• Shape and scale the SRE function, leading other managers and senior contributors in multiple payments domains
• Drive cultural transformation prioritizing operational excellence and continuous improvement in high-availability payment systems

Required qualifications:

• 15 years of software engineering experience, including 7 years in engineering management
• Deep expertise in cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and performance optimization
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong understanding of database reliability engineering and networking/storage architectures
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving reliability improvements in high-stakes environments
